A Little About Beckie
Hey there! I’m Beckie (she/her). My journey to this point started in January of 2022 when I offered grant writing services to some of the nonprofit pros in my network. My freelance career quickly evolved into a grant writing consultancy as I realized that many pros at the grassroots levels faced problems that mirrored my own when I started Grit MTB Festival and All Bikes Welcome back in 2019.
During those early days of ramping up a nonprofit I was:
•Overworked and underpaid
•Constantly chasing the next round of funding
•Overwhelmed by reporting and compliance requirements
•Sacrificing exercise and sleep for “the grind”
I lived like this for years until I realized it didn’t have to be this way. Sustainability and wellness are not only possible to achieve, but necessary for people working in the social sectors.
