Job Title: Part-time Grant Writer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time grant writer to help our nonprofit organization secure funding for our programs and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, preparing and submitting grant proposals, and maintaining relationships with funders. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, strong research abilities, and a track record of successful grant applications.
Responsibilities:
Research funding opportunities from private foundations, government agencies, and corporations
Write and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other funding applications
Collaborate with program staff to gather information and data needed for grant applications
Develop and maintain relationships with funders, including regular communication and reporting
Monitor and track grant deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements
Conduct ongoing research to stay informed of trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of annual fundraising plans
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in communications, nonprofit management, or related field
At least 2 years of experience in grant writing or fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Excellent research and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Knowledge of fundraising best practices and trends
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management software
